Sketches and Ideas

Sketch and intial ideas for front cover of Dunstep magazine.

Also a sketch of ideas for my contents page for the production of the Dubstep magazine.

Audience feedback: good ideas: the font can be effective when quite rough as this is informal so people feel they can relate to it more. Also talking about the content of the magazine on its cover can persuade people to buy it, and the stand-out colours talked about can also catch the readers attention.Possible bad ideas: not really many i can think of but little things like maybe more images on the front that arent talked about on the plan

Time Plan

In the production work firstly, I will start to make the front cover of my magazine. I will collect pictures for my magazine and choose fonts that suit the magazine. I will see what colours work well and what fonts go with the genre of the music. This will take between 1-2 weeks.

This will be the same for the contents page which I will do in the second week. I will sort out what structure I will use for the contents like the fonts, size of text and what content I will put in. I will choose what layout I want like a 2 way, 3 way or 4 way column. This will take about 1 week to complete.

Finally the double page spread is the final thing i will do. This is where I will fill, the pages with content that I have planned to put in like the latest music, Dj's and clubs etc... The double page spread I will think about the font, colour and what pictures I will use and all these will be suitable for the type of music genre that I have done. This will take about 1-2 weeks to complete as it is a main part of the production.

The final days of the production is to make the finishing touches, go over what I have done and fill in any mistakes that I have made. The final week is important as I can fine tune and make finalise the magazine to the best standard. The deadline for the production of the magazine is the 12th of February.

Initial ideas onto Moodboard.

Detailing the audience for my Dubstep magazine.

Audience Feedback:

Very sharp eye catchy colours used with most images, along with quite bold images, so nothing boring. Images tell you quite obviously the genre of music you are trying to get across as well. Some images, although bold, are quite dark and not as easy to make out so possibly add some lighter colours than this. Also try some more text, different types to see which one your overall audience agrees with
